This morning Thomas, Jason, and I went back to the same brewery I mentioned earlier, Eisgrub, for breakfast. I had already eating something at home, but I joined them for coffee. I definitely have to return to Eisgrub for breakfast though because it looked awesome. Breakfast is served buffet style and it only costs 3,50 Euro! They have warm and cold food choices, and it’s all very German: bread rolls, eggs, meat, cold cuts, oat cereals, yogurt….basically the works. As I mentioned earlier the restaurant is also a very small brewery. I have only tried their light beer because they were out of the dark beer when I went last week, but it was really good. I definitely plan to take any visitors who come to Geisenheim/Mainz to this place, so if you come and visit, be prepared for a great breakfast German style!!
I spoke with Andi and Christian today, and it looks like we will be visiting Kirsty in France next week. Right now the plan is to leave on Monday and spend a few days in France and hopefully get to hang out with Kirsty for a few days if she is free. More details to follow soon, but it should be so cool. It will be just like the old days when we road tripped to the Grand Canyon except hopefully a lot cooler. It doesn’t look like 108F are in the forecast here.
For dinner this evening Petra cooked a great lasagna. Probably one of the best I have had with meat, mushrooms, and a great cream sauce. Right now I am continuing to update my journal with past events. It is so much better when you write the day of. I really should have learned that by now…..
